TAPCUG Presidents' Column
April, 2010
First, a big thank you goes out to Neil Stafest for conducting the February meeting while I was down with a bronchitis infection.
The March presentation was truly outstanding. What an innovative idea it was to give a presentation using skype. Gene Barlow is one of the quality presenters that has been here before. However, with the dwindling membership, combined with a faltering economy, it has been difficult to get professional presenters. The use of skype allows a presenter such as Gene Barlow to give a presentation as if he were actually here without him being here physically. Thanks to John Wickliffe, our programs Chairman and Cyndie Carr for setting this up. I predict we will be getting more quality presenters in the near future as a result of this effort.
According to our Constitution, we are required to conduct an annual audit. I have asked Mardyne Little and Norma Monroe to become an ad hoc committee to conduct an audit. In collaboration with Barbra Jackson, our treasurer, they will also establish a budget for the coming year.
Keep coming to the monthly meetings. Your attendance and participation is greatly appreciated.
